ABOUT ABOUT

Take last summer’s high level of fun, formation, spirituality, and of course, adventure! Mix in a good taste of classic outdoor camp experiences. Result: Camp Ard-Righ 2017. Sign up for a life-changing experience.

This summer, Camp Ard-Righ teams up with YMCA Camp Nissokone. Camp Nissokone was founded in 1914, and ever since has been a jewel of the YMCA and a premier Michigan Summer camp. The Camp Nissokone staff are known for their ability to combine classic camp activities with exciting experiences to meet the needs of every camper, which they have been doing for the last hundred years. Located in Oscoda township on the picturesque Van Etten Lake, Camp Nissokone offers climbing walls, canoeing, horseback riding, team challenge courses, theater and drama, a high ropes course, zip lining, archery, paintball, outdoor skills, swimming, sailing, wakeboarding, waterskiing, tubing, kayaking, a pontoon boat cruise, and a giant water slide!

Combine the tradition, activities, and forest/lakefront venue of Camp Nissokone, the support of Challenge, which was the largest provider of summer camps in the United States of America last summer, and the top notch formation and Catholic spirituality provided by the Consecrated of Regnum Christi, and you are in for a life-changing experience.

Restrictions

The purpose of the Challenge Camp is to enjoy the natural environment of the facility as much as possible and to give the girls an opportunity for personal growth by communicating with those at camp. Tablets, ipods etc disturb the peace and quiet of fellow campers and the surrounding nature, so their use will be limited. We strongly advise against bringing any electronic devices, nice jewelry, cell phones, walkie talkies, ipods, video games or other expensive items. We cannot assume responsibility for lost items.  Girls can request to use their cell phones to call their families at any time.  If you need to urgently reach your daughter please call Yvonne Fontaine at 248-860-4158.

Challenge is a network of clubs for girls ages 10-18, to get know more about Christ and their catholic faith, and work to better the world around them.  Challenge is  team based, teen led, service driven, and with a virtue centered curriculum.  Challenge  does this through regular team  activities, service projects , retreats and camps. Challenge can be found in parishes and schools across the US and Canada. Find out more at challengeyouthministry.com

Campers will be led by our camp counselors and supervised by our camp adult chaperones, volunteers, and Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi.
